Description of Activities

Direct to Film (DTF) printing is a technique which involves the direct transfer of a design by first printing it on a special film and then using a heat press to transfer the design to a garment.

WHY DTF ?

  1.  Easy & simple instructions.
  2.  Faster printing technique.
  3.  Produce quality & lovely products.
  4. Suitable for beginners especially home based business.

Goals

  1. Preparing trainees for competitive employment.
  2. Training for good work habits.
  3. Maintaining good mental health.

PROGRESS  PERFORMANCE

  1. 9 trainees in a few divisions of duties- design & print the garment, heat press , badge making, bag & lanyard keychain (measuring & cutting), sewing.
  2. To ease the process, each task was broken down into small parts, with clear and simple instructions.
  3. Regular training ( different materials/products use different temperatures and instructions).
  4. Advertise through Whatsapp group & Facebook/ social media platforms.
  5. Receiving order from individuals, NGOs, departments, local authority agencies

OUTCOME OF THIS PROJECT

  1. Reduce stigma for mental patients.
  2. Promotion for Mentari.
  3.  Supporting patients to take ownership of their recovery/ empowering patients to take charge of their recovery.
  4. Create engagement with other agencies & NGOs such as PERKESO, YANAS, Kelab Mentari, PKMK.

Mentari Info

MENTARI is a new approach initiated by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) to improve outreach and re-integration of people with mental health problems into the community.
